What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4pm to 7pm on the day of arrival. Helena, our housekeeper, will greet you at the Villa and show you around.

If you need to arrive later than 7pm, we have a self check-in procedure which we will send to you.

Check-out is by 11am on the day of departure.

If you need an earlier check-out or check-in then please let us know and, if possible, we will accommodate your request. Please do note, however, that we are usually full booked during the summer months - in which case, we will be unable to accommodate early check-in or check-out.

Can I bring my pet?

As much as we love animals, pets are not allowed at Casa Marmelo.

Can I have a party?

I'm afraid we do not allow parties or hen or stag groups at Casa Marmelo.

Is there a breakfast service?

Yes, there is a breakfast service and it is included in the price of your stay. Helena, our housekeeper, will prepare your breakfast and serve it at a time that is convenient for you between 7:30am and 10am.

If you would prefer to eat outside of these hours - or if you would like to serve your own breakfast - then Helena can leave the breakfast items for you and replenish them during your stay.

Can we order an extra bed or cot?

The house is set up for 8 people with four en-suite bedrooms. If required, we do have two extra beds which can be rented for between €25 - €50 per night. We also have one cot available which can be rented free of charge. Please let us know as early as possible if you would like any of these items.

Is the house rented exclusively?

Yes, Casa Marmelo (the house, pool and gardens) are only possible to rent on an exclusive basis. We do not rent rooms individually.

Why do we need to send you our passport information?

It is a legal requirement from the Portuguese Immigration Department (SEF) that we submit data related to all foreign passport holders to their database. We will ask you for this information a week before you arrive and we will only keep your data on our files until we have submitted it to SEF. Within one week of your check-in, we will delete your personal data from our files.
